Cancellation & Returns Policy

We want you to enjoy shopping with us and to feel confident when ordering. This policy outlines how cancellations, returns, and refunds are handled for purchases made through our online store.

1. Order Cancellations

Standard Orders (in stock items):
Orders can be cancelled before they are dispatched. Please note that cancellations are subject to a 10% fee, which covers payment processing and handling costs. Once your order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled but may still be returned under the returns policy below.

Pre-Orders & Pre-Release Items:
Pre-orders are placed before stock is confirmed. We make every effort to secure the quantities needed, but allocations from distributors and publishers are sometimes lower than expected.

If we cannot fulfil your pre-order in full, we will notify you as soon as possible and issue a full refund for the unfulfilled portion.

If you choose to cancel a pre-order before dispatch, the 10% cancellation fee will apply. Once dispatched, it falls under the returns policy.

2. Returns & Refunds

Unopened Products:
You may return unopened and unused items within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. Items must be in their original condition and packaging and received back within 14 days.

Tampered or Opened Products:
We cannot accept returns of opened products unless they are faulty. This includes board games where the shrink wrap has been removed. For collectible items (such as Magic: The Gathering or other trading card products), if packaging appears opened or tampered with, we reserve the right to refuse a return or refund.

 

Faulty or Damaged Products:
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or with missing components, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund, depending on the situation.

 

3. Pre-Loved Games

Some games are sold as pre-loved/second-hand. These are discounted because they are not new. Pre-loved games are sold as seen. We do not check every box for completeness; components may be missing. Returns or refunds are not accepted for missing parts in pre-loved items.

 

4. Return Process

Please contact us at info@commonmeeple.co.uk before sending any items back. 

Customers are responsible for return postage unless the product is faulty or incorrect.

Refunds (minus any applicable cancellation fee) will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of receiving the returned goods.

 

5. Exclusions

Food and drink items purchased in-store or online cannot be returned due to health and safety regulations. 

Gift cards and digital products are non-refundable.

 

6. Your Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under consumer protection laws.
